There are a large number of standard Household Insurance Policies available on the market, all offering keenly priced premiums. But equally, you need to ensure that cover meets your needs as well as being competitively priced. If so, it is vital that you have appropriate home insurance that extends to meet your working practices and requirements. A standard home insurance policy will not include Public Liability on work away from home or liability for your clients visiting your home in the course of your business. These additional covers should be added to your home policy if at all possible – if not, you will need to find an insurer who can accommodate your working from home.
